Amazon’s Ember TV Just Got Way Cheaper

13

It costs less than a decent suitcase. That is the point here.

As of May 22 Amazon is slashing $90 off their own hardware. The Amazon Ember 50-inch 4-series TV went from a list price of $399.99 down to $309.99. It is sitting in the Memorial Day sale pile but honestly you do not need a holiday reason to grab something for $310.

That is a meaningful chunk of cash. For context the drop makes this one of the cheapest new 50-inch sets out there. And it is not a trash tier display either.

You still get 4K Ultra HD. You still get HDR10+ so colors do not look like washed out soup. There is a quad-core processor running things under the hood meaning apps load without that dreaded loading circle spinning into oblivion. Fire TV is baked into the software. Streaming feels fast. It works.

Oh yeah and there is a perk. If you have never touched Microsoft’s stuff your purchase comes with one month of Xbox Game Pass. Test the waters. Watch the content on a fresh screen. No strings attached other than having a new account.

Why buy the thing when it costs nothing extra to add games?

Then there is WiFi 6. It sounds like jargon but it means the stream buffers less often. Whether you are watching Netflix or gaming online the pipe is wide enough. Smooth playback is not just a promise it is built in.

It is a simple deal. Save ninety dollars. Get a screen that looks good and runs apps quickly. Do not overthink the specs just know it is affordable enough that saying no feels weird.

The price might change tomorrow or next week or in five minutes.

The timer is always running on these things.
